Tower Mahjong

Tower Mahjong builds the tiles upward into a tall, tightly stacked column. Because each layer sits almost directly over the one below, towers play very differently from flat boards: the only free tiles are the ones around the rim of each level, and a single misstep can bury a needed pair deep in the stack. These towering layouts reward patience and careful top-down planning.

Tips

Strip the tower one ring at a time from the top. Resist diving for a tempting match low on the stack if it leaves capped tiles above it. Use Undo freely to test which side of the tower opens up the most pairs.
